The season is turning from winter into spring. My heart and head is following suit, stretching my heart and my mind to encompass new things. Summer will be here with days filled with beach trips, end of school year concerts and Christmas preparations. Before that merry-go-round starts I’m determined to use this time of spring wisely and well.
Diving deeper into scripture and learning more about the power of prayer and making strategic plans:
Learning more about the concept of hygge. Despite it being a winter-centred concept of living, I would like to incorporate it into our evenings of spring and summer. There are admirable ideas for the entire year. Love the Danish.
I’m also determined to make my very first sourdough starter. I have a recipe from here and even if it ends in disaster, I will have tried something new. Which is refreshing and what spring is all about. New blooming, beginnings, becomings with enthusiasm. I may even call it the triumph of hope over experience, but that would be cynical 🙂
With the upheaval over the last few months my mind keeps drifting back to this verse:
Okay. I get it. My life is not actually all wrong and I haven’t completely wasted energy on the wrong things. It’s just being made into a new thing. A more mature, more God-centred, more grace-filled thing. Stripping away all that is not needed to enable me to focus on what God has called me to do.
